Northeast School of Music's
Scholarship Essay Contest


CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEAR'S WINNERS!


First Place: Kayla Powell, violin student from
Valley View High School

Second Place: Megan Bernotsky, an NESM piano student from Dunmore Elementary School

Third Place: Adam Dec, a bass player from Abington Heights High School


The Northeast School of Music is awarding three scholarships for private music lessons in voice, piano, guitar, drums, and all string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.  The contest is open to anyone with a love for music!


In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must write a 500 word essay on why music is important to you.  Please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, grade or age, and instrument/voice with your entry.

All essay contest entries must be mailed to:

Entries must be postmarked by
March 9, 2009.


Three scholarships will be awarded.

One scholarship for one year of private lessons (Sept.'09-June '10)

Two scholarships for 5 months of private lessons (Sept '09-Jan. '10)

All lessons awarded will be thirty minute, weekly lessons.
