saves our students time and money, as one family can take music lessons on multiple
instruments often on the s ame day & time! Other studios offer multiple instruments,
but we
are the only one to offer music lessons in Scranton, PA for all 5 of the most popularinstruments and all band & orchestra instruments all in one location. At Scranton Music Academy we teach music lessons and singing lessons in Voice, Piano, Jazz Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Violin, Cello, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Sax, Clarinet, Flute Oboe & Bassoon.
2. We are Not a Music Store... Our Only Focus in On Teaching Music!
Scranton Music Academy is Scranton's only community music school, dedicated just to teaching music lessons. Our entire school is designed and professionally equipped to teach music lessons. We do not sell or rent instruments, so our whole focus is on teaching
music. A music store is not necessarily the best place to learn how to play the instrument you
purchase there. To learn music, you must have an environment that is focused on music education. With only one-half to one hour of lesson time per week, a
professional, community music school environment can produce better results, since the only focus is on learning music. In a music school, the lessons are not just a
hobby or sideline for the teacher, but a responsibility which is taken very
seriously.
3. The largest and most qualified teaching faculty in Scranton.
We have 26 music teachers, all with either university training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. At SMA, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson. Students are able to choose instruction in pop, jazz, musical theatre & classical music. We also offer lessons for competition and audition preparation.
All teachers who work for SMA must pass a criminal background check.

convenient, no-hassle, free, off-street parking. Instead of waiting in a music retail store
showroom, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional waiting room with
comfortable chairs,
kids toys, Wi-Fi, magazines and bottled water
service. We are also currently adding large
observation windows on every door so that
you can watch your child's lesson while you wait.
Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
7. Fully stocked music lessons studios and lesson rooms.
Our music lesson rooms are stocked with everything you need for your music lessons,
including guitar amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos
and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studio to offer soundproofing and
observation windows.
8. Free, all inclusive music recitals.
Every June and December, our
students have the option of performing in our recitals.
Students are not
required to perform, but many choose to. Our recitals are optional, low-pressure and lots of fun.
Parents never have to pay admission or any related fees for these recitals. Students or parents are never required to fund raise for studio events.
9. Professional office staff six days a week to serve you.
The front desks at many music studios and music stores that teach lessons are staffed by the teacher/owner, or more
commonly, an answering machine. We provide professional office staff who are
available at the front desk and on the phone to assist our clients.

With two locations, Scranton Music Academy is convenient to all areas of Lackawanna
County. SMA's Scranton, PA location is
conveniently located on Keyser

Shopping Center in Scranton, PA.
This location primarily serves the Scranton area
including Clarks Summit, Dalton, Waverly,
Taylor, Old Forge, Moosic, Glen Maura, Moscow, Dunmore and all surrounding areas of NEPA.
Our Eynon location is
conveniently located on Main
Street in Eynon, minutes from Carbondale, south of Tiffany's Restaurant, 2
doors down from the Eynon VFW. This location primarily serves the upper &
mid-valley areas including Carbondale, Forest City,
Simpson, Vandling, Jermyn, Mayfield, Peckville, Dickson City,
Throop, Olyphant, Archbald and Blakely.
11. Month to Month lessons, No Long-Term Contracts.
SMA does not require semester minimums for music lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.
If you are ready to start your music lessons, you have nothing to lose. Since we
only want students who truly want to be here, we will never commit you
to a long term contract.
