Audio Settings for Zoom

When taking a lesson over zoom, it is important to make sure that the correct settings are enabled on zoom so that your teacher can hear you playing your instrument during the lesson.

Below you will find step by step guides to enable these settings. It is quick and easy!

Computer Users should only need to enable these settings once. Mobile users must complete steps 7 and 8 every time that they sign into zoom. Users should check the zoom settings every time that there is an update.

iPhone / iPad / Android Settings

1. Tap the arrow on the top left of the screen.

2. Tap on gear on the upper left hand corner.

3. Tap "Meetings"

4. Tap "Use Original Audio"

5. Once the slider turns green, tap on the arrow in the upper left corner.

6. Tap on "Back to Meeting"

7. Tap on "More."

8. Tap on "Enable Original Sound." This step must be completed every time you sign onto zoom.

Computer Settings

1. Click on the upwards pointing arrow on the mute/unmute button.

2. Click on Audio Settings

3. Set "Supress Background Noise" to "Low"

4. Click on "Show In-Meeting Option to Enable Original Sound" and then click on "High Fidelity Music Mode." Then exit out of the audio settings.

5. Make sure that "Original Sound" is set to "On." If it is set to "Off," click on it to enable it.
